From Awareness to Capacity-Building Governance: Judicial Education on Artificial Intelligence in Argentina

Abstract

This article analyzes, from an exploratory and documentary approach, the current state of judicial education on artificial intelligence in Argentina. It surveys training initiatives, guidelines, protocols, and programs developed by training centers within the federal justice system, public prosecution and defense offices, and selected provincial jurisdictions. It argues that the level of progress should not be measured solely by the number of courses offered, but by the articulation between training, institutional governance, technological infrastructure, rights protection, human oversight, and professional responsibility. It identifies heterogeneous developments, the predominance of introductory training, and the need to consolidate sustained formative governance.
