Abstract

This article aims to explain how the Chilean environmental justice model, established by Law No. 20,600 which creates the Environmental Courts, promotes the inclusion of science and recognizes its contribution in resolving socio-environmental controversies. It starts with a comparative analysis of Environmental Judiciary and culminates in a practical case of technical-scientific contribution in analyzing the principle of indemnity in a lawsuit for environmental restoration
