Abstract

The article argues that, with the change in the procedural system, the Cámara de Apelaciones y Control (Court of Appeals) becomes an obsolete institution, with 'residual' jurisdiction. However, the precedents it established, along with the constitutional rights it upholds, remain unchanged, providing guiding elements for litigants who seek to persuade the newly established Cámara de Revisión (Review Court).
